day 2: Capturing the selected image
This Google Street View is near Prudhoe Bay Alaska, USA along the north slope of Haul Road. Lots of intriguing elements here: the magnificent sky, hint of water, and the snow-laden road.

The Google camera-person cruised along this road in September 2011 (image date bottom left) --so we can surmise that the sun will be hanging low over the horizon for awhile.
