The Finished Painting: The Brooklyn Bridge

day 4: the finished painting
Sometimes it's the highlights painted in just the correct places that can make-or-break a painting. I'm so glad that the time of day in the Google Street View photo was such that flecks of light are cast onto the shadows below the suspension bridge. If this painting does indeed "make it",  I think it's because of those tiny highlights. (OK, so the real Brooklyn Bridge is of a much more subdued grayish color. I guess this is an example of "artistic license" ;-) )

"The Brooklyn Bridge" is for sale (with more photos too): https://www.etsy.com/listing/161182156
