San Francisco CA, Cliff House Reflections, 23

day 5: a day (or more) of rest
"Let nothing disturb thee, nothing affright thee. All things are passing." ~Theresa of Avila

day 4: the finished painting
Well, I thought I would use a calm palette of colors, but something happened... Actually the original finished painting was very dark in the forefront. I didn't like it. This one is better. Also, it's more towards twilight, that in-between time mirroring the edge of things such as where the ocean meets the land.

This is now the final painting, re-vamped and sold

day 3: creating the pre-painting composition (using Adobe Photoshop)
The "oceanic feeling" (as this man might be experiencing), may come to us when we are contemplating the vastness of the ocean, of time & space perhaps even beyond our recognition.

A little tweaking of the original Google image, using Adobe Photoshop.

day 2: capturing the selected image
This scene was found near the Cliff House in San Francisco

day 1: planning the destination
We're going back to San Francisco, Ocean Beach. This Google Maps Google Street View scene is right near the Cliff House, above Sutro Baths.
