day 4: the finished painting
I usually try to finish the painting in one session, because I'm going for an immediacy in brushwork. But I did accentuate some of water area after the oils were dry.

day 3: creating the pre-painting composition (using Adobe Photoshop)
Some cropping, image enhancement and we're good to go.

Have you been to Norway? I mean, in the "real" world? If so, maybe you can verify if the light is really as pristine/the colors as vivid as in Google Street Views...
