I usually try to finish the painting in one session, because I'm going for an immediacy in brushwork. But I did accentuate some of water area after the oils were dry.

day 3: creating the pre-painting composition (using Adobe Photoshop)
Some cropping, image enhancement and we're good to go.

I've cropped the image and saturated the color a bit in preparation for the painting

day 2: capturing the selected image
Here we are,  in Møre og Romsdal , a county in the northernmost part of Western Norway.
